Facilitating Learning

Smart Classrooms

Our classrooms, with a seating capacity of 40 are spacious and well- ventilated with ample of natural and artificial lighting. Ergonomically designed furniture, a combination of green glass and white boards, display boards, LCD projection equipments facilitate the learning process. All classrooms have Interactive Smart class boards, that make the class Hi-tech.

Laboratories

Computer Laboratories: There is one each for the junior and the senior section. These laboratories are well equipped with Internet and multimedia provisions. A language laboratory center to foreign and Indian Languages. This has audio-visual equipment for listening skills, presentation skills and interactive activity. Ultra Modern Science Laboratories with all the amenities are there for Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

Library Center

There are two separate, well equipped Junior and senior Libraries, with an extensive range of reference books, newspaper, magazines, periodicals, educational CDs, computer workstations, printer and photocopier. There is a computer aided referencing system, which enables students to rapidly locate the books of their choice. As part of the focus on e- learning, students are encouraged to use the Internet and to access the online International libraries for Information.

Sport - A Healthy Body Has A Healthy Mind

To improve respective sports, we have expert coaches and trainers who impart invaluable tips to students to hone their skills. The facilities available are some of the best in the country. The students of SIS have already established a benchmark and won many accolades in the States and at National level in various sporting events.

Inspiring Creativity / Celebrating Harmony

Both Western and Indian Music styles are taught in equal measure to the students to develop their skills and Musical appreciation.

Western Music: Instruments Keyboards, Guitar, Violin and Drums (eg: Acoustic/Congo and Octa Pad) are taught here.

Indian Music: Indian Classical Vocal Music is taught along with instruments like- Harmonium, Table, Sitar/Flutes.

Theatre: Dramatics is included in the time table and designs a rubric of personality development or self development. It aims to get children less inherit and help them to express their selves, aspirations, fears & desires.

Dance: Dance as an exercise for Condoning of Mind and Soul: Dance helps to increase the stamina as a viable form of exercise. Salsa, Contemporary, Hip-Hop, Western Ballet, Kathak, Bharatnatyam, Spanish etc. are a few of the dance forms that students at SIS get to learn.

Art & Craft: A wide spectrum of art and creativity is at SIS through budding minds in the areas of fine arts, glass painting, paper craft, needle work, computer graphics as well as through Photography.
